bell ringing for the Salvation Army.

Dearborn Heights Rotary Job Shadow


Dearborn Heights Rotarians welcome Robichaud High students to "shadow" their work then treat them to lunch as they hear from the students about the experience.
Along with Dearborn Heights Rotary members taking students for the morning were Chief Gavin of the Dearborn Heights Police Department, the Dearborn Heights Fire Department and Dearborn Heights Kiwanian and Library Director,  Michael McCaffery

Community Service Groups Have "Eyes" for the Community!

Area community service groups donated to cover the cost for neighborhood watch type signs.

Relay for Life & Rotary

The Rotary Club of Dearborn Heights participated in Relay for Life in our community using and demonstrating the Shelter Box which is a Rotary adopted international project. One of our members, Derek Locke, is currently in Peru helping flood victims with housing provided by Shelter Box.

Kiwanis Planning for Boys & Girls State Event



Kiwanis Boys & Girls State Chairperson, Jerry White reviews with club members about student's past experience and introduces this year's Kiwanis students who will attend the program in June. 
The program focus is to help build the Leaders of Tomorrow. For the past 25 years the Dearborn Heights Kiwanis club has sponsored students for this American Legion Boys State program and American Legion Auxiliary Girls State program to teach young men and young women in their junior year of high school the function of government,  a glimpse of life in a college dorm setting, leadership, management and communication skills.  In the course of 7 days they will also develop friendships that will last a life time.
